Clean Transportation Policy Briefs: Foundational State Policies for Electric Vehicle Adoption
NESCAUM has developed a series of one-page clean transportation policy briefs, highlighting state-level policies that lay a solid foundation to support the increasing number of electric cars and trucks being deployed now and in the future. In addition, all of the policies highlighted here have relatively low costs to implement in terms of state staff and funding. The briefs cover policies applicable to both passenger cars and medium- and heavy-duty trucks, provide a list of jurisdictions that have already adopted the foundational policy, and highlight implementation examples as well as curated resources that other jurisdictions can use as guidance in developing their own policies.
